Obamas attend Marines Corps parade

President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are spending an evening out to watch a Marines Corps parade.

Before the event, Obama spoke to a small group of military families.

The parade is held every Friday night during the summer at the Marine Barracks in Washington. The event dates back to 1957 and features more than an hour of music and marching.

The United States Marine Band is set to perform.
